DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:

The price on Calathes is down due to the tough matchup with Barcelona today. Calathes has been matchup-proof so far though. His reputation as the most consistent player in the EuroLeague is not unfounded. Calathes has only been under 30 DraftKings points once this year (27 against Berlin). He has the best floor and a high ceiling. What more can you ask for? You just have to pay for it.

Sergio Rodriguez is tempting because of the nice matchup, but I still don’t know if I can run him out there over Calathes and some of the forwards that are available. I’d rather ride Thomas Walkup and his much higher usage with Grigonis still sidelined.

Quino Colom stands to see a minutes increase if Vives is out. Some of that could fall to Jordan Loyd as well, but I see Walkup as more of a sure thing for that price. Colom is more tempting.

This is a tough matchup for Tyrese Rice, but I’m not sure it matters right now. Rice has 94.75 DraftKings points over the last three rounds. For the price, it’s worth seeing if he can keep it up against the tougher Barcelona defense.

Lukas Lekavicius has done well with his expanded role with Grigonis sidelined. The middle tier of guard is pleasantly loaded today. That’s going to mean low ownership on Calathes and higher ownership on the expensive guys up front.

It’s hard to make heads or tails of the St. Petersburg backcourt, but Alex Renfroe seems to have the highest ceiling even though he doesn’t start. That just means more danger of the floor falling out from under you.

One of these days, Barcelona is going to be fully healthy. Until then, it opens up some nice value if you know where to look. Malcolm Delaney has consistently been one of those pleasant surprises. The return of Pau Ribas hasn’t hurt so far, but there is a chance that they start ramping up his minutes.

We finally have a good matchup for Theo Maledon and Jordan Taylor. Not that either of them have needed it so far. They both have produced well off of the bench for Villeurbanne. This is mostly a team without a star, which turns into DFS gold for us. I like both of them here, but if only using one, Maledon has the slight edge because of the higher ceiling.
