NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds for December 17

Scrubs

Marcus Morris (vs ATL – $6,200 on DK; $6,200 on FD): Morris is inconsistent, but he’s up against Atlanta. This could be a double-double game for Morris as he gets his scoring and rebounding going. He’s at a better price on FanDuel where he’s a couple hundred under the salary line. He might not be the most reliable guy who he is a high ceiling player with a great matchup and could swing your league if he hits like I expect him to.

Lonzo Ball (vs BKN – $5,000 on DK; $6,000 on FD): The price isn’t great. And it’s possible Lonzo isn’t actually great. But this is a strong matchup as the offense should be up for both teams and the Nets are not good against the position. Lonzo can play inconsistent minutes and he plays an inconsistent game, but the matchup and ceiling are there. Take the risk on DraftKings where he won’t hurt you quite as much.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (at CHA – $5,300 on DK; $5,500 on FD): As mentioned previously, the Kings and Hornets have some great value in this game as they don’t have many high salary players but this should be a high scoring affair and guys have to get numbers in these games. Bogdanovic has proven himself as a good scorer and can do other things as well. He definitely won’t hurt you, but expect him to hit in a big way.

Joe Ingles (vs ORL – $5,700 on DK; $5,800 on FD): Ingles has found some consistency since joining the starting lineup. This could be a gritty game as both teams are known for their defense. But Ingles has the ability to stretch the floor and knockdown shots. In games like this, the role players have a way of stepping up and making a big difference

Taurean Prince (at NO – $5,500 on DK; $6,100 on FD): The Pelicans are very weak against the position. And though Prince can be inconsistent, this is a great matchup for him and his salary is excellent, especially on DraftKings. Don’t be afraid to look towards Garrett Temple either. His ceiling isn’t quite as high but he’s can make an impact and he’s at a good salary. There is plenty of value in this game given how much offense there should be and the the middle salaries on each team.
