3. Manchester City and Leicester share the points in 2-2 draw

One of the biggest games of the weekend sees Manchester City host Leicester City in a game that could really decide the title race. These are the two closest sides to league leaders, Liverpool, and the outcome of this match could provide Liverpool with an advantageous position.

Jurgen Klopp’s side aren’t in Premier League action this weekend as they’re competing in the Club World Cup in Qatar but they’ll be keeping an eye out for the result of this match. Leicester are closest to the leaders but are still ten points back from Liverpool whilst City are a further four back from the Foxes.

A win for City or draw between the sides would give Liverpool the opportunity to go 13 points clear once they’ve caught up with their game in hand. The only result which could make Liverpool a little nervous is a Leicester victory.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have been fantastic this season and the fact they’re four points ahead of City is very impressive. If they come to play their soccer at the Etihad they could run the risk of being torn apart by Pep Guardiola’s side.

The Light Blues know that the only way they’ll be able to retain their Premier League title is if Liverpool have a slip-up and they win almost all of their remaining 20 games. Liverpool don’t look like slipping up any time soon but soccer is the most unpredictable sport in the world — the Reds last title miss was a great demonstration of that.

Leicester will not be writing themselves off anytime soon despite their disappointing draw with Norwich at home last weekend. The Foxes were on an amazing run of victories but fell short of all three points last weekend after drawing 1-1 with the Canaries.

The attacking nature of these sides makes it difficult to predict anything other than goals this weekend. Both sides will find the net in both halves — two for Jesus and two for Vardy in a thrilling 2-2 draw.
