DraftKings NBA picks December 23: Beal is the one man gang

DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Trae Young ($11,200): I was off of Young for a while with the price this high. Honestly, I’m still really nervous about it. You can’t argue with the results though. Young has at least 50 DraftKings points in four straight, topping 60 in two of those. His reward is a matchup against Cleveland. It’s a game that shouldn’t be a blowout, so Young could have another huge game in him.

Russell Westbrook ($8,900): Westbrook has been better than Harden for the price lately. Russ has three straight games of more than 50 DraftKings points and he put outscored Harden against the Kings the first time around. This feels like a Russ over Harden night here.

Kyle Lowry ($8,800): Lowry didn’t put up huge numbers with VanVleet out, but he has with Siakam out. Point guards have been taking it to the Pacers lately anyway. Now add in Lowry, who has been elite for a depleted team, and we have what could be another big night for him in this price range.

Honorable Mention:

Damian Lillard ($8,300): Against the Pelicans is Dame time. Lillard has 160.75 DraftKings points over the last three games. New Orleans can’t defend any position well, but they are especially weak against point guards. If Melo is out, expect the guards to dominate this game like the good old days. Even if Melo plays, I still expect a nice game from Dame.

Jamal Murray ($7,200): Denver has already played the Suns twice this year. Murray has 83 DraftKings points over those two games. Murray finished the week strong anyway, putting up 90.75 DraftKings points on the Timberwolves and Magic. I expect another 40+ DraftKings points again here.

De’Aaron Fox ($6,400): Fox is still being held to around 30 minutes a game, but that isn’t much of a deterrent. Not when he’s putting up good numbers still. Fox has 102.5 DraftKings points in the three games since his return. He has shown no lingering issues and no signs of rust. Even if the minutes don’t increase, Fox is a solid investment for this price.

Dark Horses:

Dejounte Murray ($5,900): Murray has at least 31 DraftKings points in four straight and five of his last six. That’s still only playing about 28 minutes per night. Murray’s minutes wont go much higher than this. The Spurs run a deep rotation and don’t throw huge minutes to their guards since they have so many. Still, Murray has been strong for this price range. The upside is clipped, but he’s still a sure source of 5x value.

Shabazz Napier ($3,400): I hate the matchup for Ish, so if I have to take a risk anyway, I think I’ll save even more and run with Shabazz. Napier has 54 DraftKings points over the last two games since taking the starting job from Culver. Napier isn’t going to log a ton of minutes, but he’s in there to provide a scoring spark. That could change if Towns is in, but even then, it’s hard to pass on a starter for this price.
