8. QB Jameis Winston

Winston is set to lead the league in passing yards this year by a fair margin, while delivering the 13th 5,000-yard season in NFL history. But with that good has come the bad, as Winston is also the first quarterback in league history with 30 touchdown passes and 30 interceptions in the same season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could choose to keep Winston, with multiple options on the table in terms of contract length and franchise tags. But the two sides have apparently had no contract talks of any sort, and there should be some other teams who will see Winston as an upgrade (be it short-term or long-term).

7. DE Yannick Ngakoue

Ngakoue is having another good season, with eight sacks, 13 tackles for loss and a career-high mark in total tackles (40 entering Week 17). His raw number of total pressures is way down (13 entering Week 17, 33 in 2018), but this is still a high-end edge defender who’s set to hit the market as he approaches his 25th birthday (March 31).

Ngakoue has appeared ready to hit the market dating back months now, most recently with an Instagram post professing “One more Ride” as a Jaguar in Week 17. Contract talks seemed to get going back in July, but Ngakoue’s decision to skip some offseason work surely drew the ire of the recently fired Tom Coughlin and things broke down.

The premium placed on pass rushers assures Ngakoue will get a big contract in March. It’s just a matter of where he lands.
