DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Luka Doncic ($12,200): It was bound to happen, Luka’s price getting this high. His ceiling is every bit as high as Giannis or anyone else on this slate, especially against the Bulls. We have to worry about a blowout here, but Luka has at least 5x value, even at this price, in three straight. If this game stays close, he’ll hit value again with Porzingis out.

De’Aaron Fox ($8,200): Fox has been inconsistent with the exception of his outburst against Memphis. His price ballooned because of that outing, and it doesn’t quite seem fair. The issue here is that the Warriors are not good against point guards. New Orleans was the worst, but Fox still only had 29.75 DraftKings points. The risk is much higher than I like from this price range.

Honorable Mention:

Spencer Dinwiddie ($7,900): Dallas is the only team that has held Dinwiddie under 30 DraftKings points the entire time Irving has been out. The ceiling is still rather high on Dinwiddie, and will continue to be without Kyrie. However, he’s not consistently hitting 40 anymore.

Devonte Graham ($7,700): Graham has 89.5 DraftKings points in two games against Indiana this year. Graham has been back over 40 with regularity again after a cold spell around Christmas. That culminated with a shredding of Dallas on Saturday. He’s one of the more sure things tonight.

Lonzo Ball ($6,800): Lonzo’s track record isn’t all that great, but the last three games have been the best three game run of his young career so far. I don’t know if he can keep it up or not, but Utah isn’t all that strong defensively anymore. Most times I stay away from Ball, especially on a larger slate. However, this price is reasonable for what he has been doing lately.

Dark Horses:

Ish Smith ($5,700): Smith seems to have taken the starting job and run with it. He had a big game when Thomas was ejected after a minute and was even better on Saturday. Ish was also big in the two games that Thomas was suspended. I don’t like going after a team like Boston, but with the way Smith is playing, I may make an exception.

Marcus Smart ($5,200): Smart was a disaster on the tail end of a back to back against the Bulls on Saturday, but a day of rest should have done him well. This is a great matchup against the Wizards. Smart put up 46.5 on the Hawks without Kemba on Friday and he put up 35.5 against the Wizards earlier this year with Kemba in the lineup. I’m ready to get back on the horse after being bucked off on Saturday.

Kris Dunn ($4,900): Dunn has been very inconsistent in the starting lineup, but he had a game that put him on the fantasy radar on Saturday. We know what we are getting from Dunn though. He’ll likely hit value for the price if the Bulls are going to run him 40 minutes per game, but Saturday was the anomaly. I’d move off of him just because of the expected spike in ownership alone.
