2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a decent season under Bruce Arians, finding a way to reach a 7-9 record with the potential to take the next step in 2020. However, the biggest conundrum of 2019 was Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston. He threw for over 5,000 yards and 30 touchdowns, but also threw a ridiculous 30 interceptions, with his 30th coming on a pick-six to end their season with an overtime loss to the Falcons.

It’s hard to tell what the Bucs plan to do in 2020 at the quarterback position. Arians hasn’t really committed to Winston for 2020 (he is a free agent), but he might not want to start over with a rookie quarterback, especially if it isn’t Joe Burrow or Tua Tagovailoa. So, it’s very possible we see Winston in a Bucs uniform in 2020.

If Winston puts up similar numbers in 2020, the Bucs will likely be near the bottom of the NFC South and could be near the top of the draft order in 2021. That leaves them with an option to move up and find the true heir in Tampa, Trevor Lawrence. It’s not hard to picture Lawrence with Arians, as he likes quarterbacks who can work vertically and who can make all the throws. Lawrence is that guy.
