3. player. 50. . Cornerback. Detroit Lions. Jeffrey Okudah

The Detroit Lions currently hold the No. 3 overall selection this April, but depending on how the first two selections shape up, they may be willing to part ways with this pick for some draft capital. Remember, this is a franchise that is looking to fill major holes next season, and this kind of draft slot could net them multiple assets, instead of just one.

If they do hold on to the third pick, they have to bring in the best defensive back in the draft class, and that is Jeffrey Okudah from Ohio State. Okudah is the kind of cornerback you can build around, as he has incredible athleticism, great hands, and is one of the better cover corners we have seen in some time.

The hope for Detroit is that Matthew Stafford comes back healthy in 2020, as he was having a solid season before an injury took him out the rest of the year. From there, the team went downhill, and with a healthy Stafford, back and some key additions this offseason, there is no reason to believe they can’t be a contender in the NFC North next season.

Miami Dolphins. Tua Tagovailoa. 4. player. 59. . Quarterback

The Miami Dolphins cannot wait until No. 5, and pull off a draft night deal to move up one spot above the New York Giants. With the Giants bringing in a young head coach, and needing to revamp the roster, they gladly take one of the Dolphins later first round picks, and Tua Tagovailoa lands in South Beach.

While the injury to Tagovailoa’s hip was a scary one, if the medicals all check out before the draft, there is no way that he falls outside of the top-five picks. This was a guy who was slated to go No. 1 overall before the injuries this season, and even if he has to sit for part of his rookie season, or even the whole thing, he is absolutely worth it.

The Dolphins played hard under first-year head coach Brian Flores, and the hope is that they can continue to trend in the right direction in 2020. They may lose an extra first rounder by moving up one spot, but if it can spot the Los Angeles Chargers, Carolina Panthers, or even the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from making a move up the draft board, it will pay off in the long run.
