DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks January 17
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings EuroLeague Forwards:
Both Shengelia and Greg Monroe have tough matchups today. Shengelia still put up 35.5 DraftKings points in the first game with CSKA. Is he matchup-proof? I know Monroe isn’t. Luke Sikma is the consistent alternative with a much better matchup.

I don’t know that I fully trust Nikola Milutinov just yet. Georgios Printezis is outplaying him and is $900 less. I also prefer Deshaun Thomas and Papapetrou in this tier.
Forward is littered with good matchups today. I would only use Mateusz Ponitka if you’re sure Ayon is going to be limited again. I also like the production and upside of Chris Singleton since Dunston has been sidelined. Tibor Pleiss is worth a look on the cheap as well since he’s getting starters minutes.
Personally, I wouldn’t pay the premium and I would just play Jock Landale. He is back up to normal minutes and is producing close to what he was earlier this year.
Josh Huestis isn’t quite back up to speed yet, but he’s getting close. This price is still very reasonable for him. I don’t know that I would use him over any of the Valencia guys, but he fits nicely if you’re cramming star guards with three forward punts.
I really like Alberto Abalde and Aaron Doornekamp with Dubljevic and Tobey out again. Doornekamp had the better round in round 19 and this is a tougher matchup, but his price isn’t to the point that I wouldn’t use him. Same with Abalde. I don’t mind punting with both.
