Scrubs

Tristan Thompson (vs NY – $6,400 on DK; $5,700 on FD): Thompson is inconsistent but the ceiling is high and it’s the Knicks, who are very weak against the position. There’s a lot of good value in this game since neither team has a high salary player and multiple guys can contribute. Looks towards Sexton and Barrett as well.

Michael Porter (at MIN – $6,500 on DK; $5,300 on FD): Porter Jr is really starting to come into his own and that’s a great sign for the Nuggets. He can do a bit of everything and he’s in a system where he can really thrive with his athleticism. It’s also a great matchup against the defensively inept Timberwolves.

Kendrick Nunn (vs SAC – $5,800 on DK; $5,100 on FD): Nunn should have more room to maneuver against the Kings than he did against the Spurs. It is a back to back which is slightly concerning but it’s a great matchup and Nunn is a high ceiling with his scoring. Expect Miami’s offense to look a lot better in this one than it did against the Spurs.

Marcus Smart (vs LAL – $5,800 on DK; $5,500 on FD): Smart most likely won’t shoot like he did last game, but he’ll keep taking those shots so the ceiling is there. This is also a matchup where he’s going to have have fingerprints on as he tries to contribute in multiple ways. He’s a risk but the ceiling is high and could swing your league.

Kyle Kuzma (at BOS – $6,300 on DK; $4,800 on FD): If Davis is out once again then Kuzma will draw the start and once again be in a position to succeed. He’s the second most reliable scorer on the team though guys like Howard and McGee also chip in with scoring and rebounding. There’s good value across the Lakers with Davis out.
