DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

SF is shallow enough that I may use LeBron or Ben Simmons there. As per usual, guard is pretty loaded on this slate. Kyrie put up 52.25 DraftKings points in the first game against Detroit, but the Pistons are ravaged right now. Blake is out. Kennard is out. Several role players are sick. Drummond has discomfort from a split lip.

I would expect Drummond to play though, and with him against the Brooklyn front, I can see this game staying close. Reggie Jackson is on a minutes limit, so Irving will have a run at some bench guys for a while. I can see Irving clearing 50 here as well.

Minnesota’s defense is just like Jonah Hill: Superbad. Still, I don’t see a ton of upside for Chris Paul here. He’ll get between 35 and 40 DraftKings points, but I don’t really see him going above that. Dennis Schroder probably has more upside, especially if Minnesota were to get blown out.

The lower tier of point guard is getting tricky. Shabazz Napier and Jarrett Culver both get minutes. They are both about as in consistent as you can get though. That’s why they share minutes in the first place, right? The pendulum is back towards Napier, but I sure don’t trust him.

That leaves Darius Garland, whose production has slipped thanks to Sexton reaching a new level (of confidence…and power…) the same way Phil Anselmo did. At any rate, Reggie Jackson is safer even though he’s on a minutes limit. Just be aware that Detroit might rest him on his first back to back since his return.

If Jackson were to sit, that would open things up more for Tim Frazier or Bruce Brown if he’s healthy enough to play. Frazier is a limited player, but he can still provide value at minimum price if he ends up starting.
