Duds

Bradley Beal (at MIL – $8,400 on DK; $8,800 on FD): It’s a tough matchup for Beal, though he has delivered in a big way in recent games. He’s still the driving force behind the Wizards and that’s why he’s rarely a bad play. But I’m not a fan of this matchup for him against the Milwaukee defense. If you take Beal, avoid the rest of the Wizards.

Kemba Walker (at MIA – $8,000 on DK; $8,000 on FD): Kemba has put up a couple of monster games with the injuries to the Celtics. But much like Beal, this is a tough matchup for Kemba. I’m expecting this to be a defensive showdown, which is why I’m not a fan of many players in this game. Someone has to get numbers and Kemba is certainly a strong option, but there are better matchups elsewhere.

John Collins (at TOR – $7,900 on DK; $7,500 on FD): Collins has high ceiling potential and is the best option on the Hawks behind Trae. But the Raptors are a tough matchup with their size and defense. And his numbers are understandably down with Trae being back in the lineup as he’s getting less opportunities. There’s better value below him.

D’Angelo Russell (at PHI – $7,700 on DK; $8,000 on FD): Russell has the highest ceiling of anyone on the Warriors, but like the guys I’ve mentioned above, this just isn’t a great matchup. And Russell isn’t even as a reliable as Beal or Kemba because the Warriors don’t have a great team around him. He might not hurt you, but his ceiling is limited in this matchup.

Darius Garland (vs NO – $5,600 on DK; $4,000 on FD): Garland simply hasn’t delivered in recent games and until he shows he can bounce back, there’s no reason to take him. The Pelicans are playing better and getting more comfortable with Zion. Meanwhile, Garland’s salary has actually gone up from his last game on DK. He’s too much of a risk in this one.
