DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:

Best Bets:

Devin Booker ($9,100): This is a nice little hot streak for Booker. He has at least 30 actual points in three straight games with at least five assists in each. His first game against the Thunder was nothing special, but it’s been a tale of 2019 and 2020 for Booker. When the calendar flipped, so did he. Booker still has the occasional dud, but he already has more 50 DraftKings points in January (eight) than in the first 10 weeks of the season combined (seven).

Derrick Rose ($7,600): This is not a great matchup, but Rose’s floor is so high right now that he’s not much of a risk. Kind of like Mitchell last night. Rose has 11 straight games over 30 DraftKings points and he’s averaged that against Toronto in two games this season. Rose doesn’t have a ton of upside, but he is one of the few that you can say definitively that he wont ruin your lineup.

Honorable Mention:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($6,700): SGA has the best upside of any of the Thunder guards. He showed that in his one game against Phoenix this year when he went for 44.5 DraftKings points. All of the Thunder guards are priced right for the game against Phoenix. I don’t see Paul and Schroder having the upside of SGA and there are a bunch of point guards with higher upside at the price. I’ll go with the upside here though.

Dillon Brooks ($6,000): Brooks racked up an absurd 53.25 DraftKings points on the Pelicans the first time around. He probably wont hit that mark again, but Brooks has proven capable of staying above 30 and often finishes in the high 30’s. He should flirt with 40 DraftKings points tonight.

Dark Horses:

Seth Curry ($4,800): A poor showing against the Thunder placed Curry back on the bench, but I’m thinking that will be short lived. Even if Wright or Brunson start at the point, Curry will see plenty of time there. He’s the best shooter from the outside, and the volume is going to be nuts if Hardaway sits as well. He’s the best Curry playing in the NBA right now. This price seems reasonable, yeah?

J.J. Redick ($4,000): Hart still often sees more minutes than Redick, but Redick is guaranteed to shoot when he’s in there. He’s such a good shooter at such a low price that there really isn’t much risk involved here. If Redick goes cold, you’re totally screwed, but hey. You’re only out $4,000. The upside outweighs the risk.
