NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds on DraftKings and FanDuel Jan. 31
Scrubs
Dillon Brooks (at NO – $6,000 on DK; $5,600 on FD): Brooks has played consistent basketball for the Grizzlies as of late. He’s a guy who won’t hurt you and his ceiling is high because of everything he brings to the table. The matchup is good as the Pelicans are weak against the position.
Ricky Rubio (vs OKC – $5,900 on DK; $5,500 on FD): I’ve never seen Rubio have a bad game against the Thunder. He can be inconsistent but against OKC he never seems to miss and he chips in elsewhere. If you’re not sold on Booker like I am, then take Rubio.
Jerami Grant (at MIL – $5,700 on DK; $5,300 on FD): Grant’s price has dropped largely due to the matchup but I’m going to trust the way he’s been playing. The Bucks can make life tough but the Nuggets are a good team and Grant can do a bit of everything.
Taurean Prince (vs CHI – $5,200 on DK; $ on FD): Prince can be inconsistent but it’s a great matchup as the Bulls are weak against the position. I’m hoping the last game for the Nets was the start of something for them but who knows with Brooklyn. I still trust Prince at this price and matchup.
Nerlens Noel (at PHO – $4,200 on DK; $4,400 on FD): You can also go with Steven Adams as I think he’s in for a strong game. But if Adams is still limited, Noel has been a suitable replacement who gets easy buckets, a handful of rebounds, and chips in with defense.
