DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks February 4
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings EuroLeague Forwards:
We have the Berlin frontcourt here, but this is a tough matchup. If you do decide to use one of them, this time it should be Rokas Giedraitis. Sikma scored a full 11 points less than Giedraits in the first meeting.
Munich actually has the best matchups on paper at forward tonight and they are right in the middle of the pack. With all of these tough matchups, you have to go with the players more than matchups. Monroe is going to haul down rebounds, but you never know what else. Is that enough to pay for?

Shengelia is probably the most talented forward in action, but he struggled against Real Madrid the first time around. Real Madrid’s front is one of the best going. I’m avoiding this.
The Real Madrid front has been tearing everyone on up offense too. Will they be able to do it against a Baskonia team that has allowed the fewest DraftKings points to forwards this year? For that reason, I trust defensive specialist Walter Tavares more here today.
I really like Johannes Voigtmann here. He has at least 35 DraftKings points in back to back rounds. He’s not going to hit that against the Efes front, but Voigtmann should still be in the 20’s. He’s the go-to guy with Clyburn out.
Jock Landale had one of his better games of the season against Olympiacos in the first meeting. His numbers have still been strong, and on most slates, he’s not worth the price. However, he does have one of the better matchups today. I prefer Landale over the guesswork of tougher matchups.
Paul Zipser is the guy that benefitted most from Lucic’s absence. If Lucic is out again, lock in Zipser.
The Villeurbanne front is enticing against Munich. Livio Jean-Charles is the consistent force that you want. Tonye Jekiri is capable of taking over. The return of Adriean Payne has muddled things a bit. Jean-Charles is the safe option. Jekiri probably has the most upside. Payne is there to keep the cost down.
The Milan front is similarly convoluted. The issue there is that one of them usually had a big game while the other struggles, and there is no rhyme or reason as to who goes off. If you want to mess with this, have fun. Luis Scola has the most upside, but he’s far from a sure thing.
