NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds on DraftKings and FanDuel Feb. 8

Scrubs

Buddy Hield (vs SA – $5,700 on DK; $5,400 on FD): Hield has been solid while coming off the bench and he doesn’t lack for opportunities. Maybe he’ll have some extra energy on the back to back as well considering his new role. The Spurs aren’t good and we need to stop pretending they are. Especially on the defensive end. Hield will get his scoring numbers.

Eric Paschall (vs LAL – $5,200 on DK; $4,200 on FD): If Draymond and Wiggins are out then someone has to get numbers for the Warriors. And Paschall has been one of their better options this season. This is a case of good circumstances as the Warriors don’t have good high salary guys so there’s value on the team elsewhere.

Miles Bridges (vs DAL – $6,200 on DK; $6,100 on FD): Bridges has been putting up great numbers in recent games. The Mavericks are on a back to back and Bridges can do a bit of everything. Ride him while he’s hit as the salary hasn’t quite crept into the danger zone.

Ivica Zubac (at MIN – $4,600 on DK; $5,200 on FD): Zubac is inconsistent but he’s coming off a strong game and I like this matchup for him. The Timberwolves are better against the position than you may expect but they aren’t good. And I like Russell but he’s not helping their defense. They’ll need Zubac and Harrell to combat Towns. Zubac is just the cheaper option.

Jamal Murray (at PHO – $6,100 on DK; $6,400 on FD): Murray can be inconsistent but his salary has settled into a nice spot where he can over perform in a big way. And it’s the Suns. You can either build around Jokic or take some value in a guy like Murray who will benefit from what should be another strong outing by Jokic.
