Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on February 8 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSidedās NBA DFS lineup helper.
Hereās whatās on the slate for tonight:
How this works:
Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.
Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.
Studs
Christian Wood (vs NY ā $6,700 on DK; $7,300 on FD): The circumstances remain great for Wood since heās their top frontcourt option and the team just doesnāt have much going on elsewhere. Reggie Jackson is also an option. Itās a back to back but itās a great matchup and someone has to get numbers. Pistons players offer great value.
Kristaps Porzingis (at CHA ā $8,700 on DK; $9,600 on FD): Itās a back to back for the Mavericks and thatās about the only concern. Itās a great matchup as the Hornets donāt offer much on the defensive side of the ball and Porzingis has been dominant with Luka out of the lineup.
DeMar DeRozan (at SAC ā $8,100 on DK; $7,700 on FD): DeRozan has played consistent basketball as of late and now he gets a great matchup against the Kings. Itās a back to back for the Kings as well which probably wonāt help them too much. DeRozan is guaranteed value with a good ceiling given the matchup.
Elfrid Payton (at DET ā $7,500 on DK; 7,000$ on FD): Numbers have rarely been an issue for Payton and that should once again be the case against the weak Pistons. The Pistons are on a back to back as well which should help the Knicks overall. Payton will easily get his numbers in this game.
LeBron James (at GS ā $10,900 on DK; $10,800 on FD): The only concern about LeBron is that the matchup is too good. But even in limited minutes, LeBron could be in line for a triple double. If youāre not going to take LeBron then take Davis but LeBron has been more of a sure thing this season.
