A juicy rumor about Peter Weber ending up with one of the Bachelor producers has been floating around the internet. Dustin Kendrick thinks it’s highly unlikely.

For the first time in a long time, the ending of The Bachelor has not yet been spoiled. A certain Reddit user believes that’s because Peter’s true love story took place behind the scenes. . . literally.

In this wild theory, Reddit user Krallie points out that Peter’s family was with Bachelor producer Julie LaPlaca after filming, also noting that she’s been spotted in Seattle Seahawks gear, which is Peter’s favorite football team.

There are a million reasons why these details mean absolutely nothing, but given that we don’t know the actual ending, minds are beginning to wander. Dustin Kendrick, fellow Bachelorette season 16 contestant and close friend to Peter, isn’t buying into the theory.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bachelor executive Robert Mills played coy about the rumor, stating he “hates to get in the way of a good rumor,” adding that he would neither confirm nor deny Peter ending up with LaPlaca. Chances are, Mills is saying that just to stoke the fires underneath this crazy rumor, something The Bachelor has been known to do in the past.

As Kendrick points out on the FanSided podcast Can I Steal You For A Second?, the Bachelor/ette does spend a lot of time with the producers, however, it’s extremely unlikely they’d end up together. “It’s definitely not true, at all. They’re like, best friends. . . I can tell you for sure that the producer — if he was with her — she’s fired.”

Kendrick also added, hypothetically of course, that “if Peter is happy with Julie, then [he] is happy for Peter.”

Even though this is a highly unlikely situation, it would definitely be a Bachelor first (and please a lot of fans who aren’t exactly sold on the remaining contestants).

Only time will tell what happens to Peter. He’s maintained that his ending will not be spoiled, and multiple executives have said that the ending won’t happen until after the Final Rose. Regardless of how it ends, theories like this are a lot of fun to follow!
