DraftKings PGA: 2020 Honda Classic Values

7,300 Bud Cauley

Despite missing most of the 2018 season due to a motor vehicle accident, Cauley has beeen playing really consistent golf for the past year and a half. The 8 year PGA pro has made 10 of his past 13 cuts with a slew of top-10 finishes. Cauley is yet another SEC product familiar with Bermuda grass, playing his collegiate career at Alabama. Cauley has played this tournament each of the past 3 years. He withdrew in 2018, but has yet to finish worse than T27 in 2 other attempts.

7,300 Brian Harman

Harman has been a cut making machine during the swing season and dating back to the Florida swing. He has made 12 of his last 13 cuts, and tends to play well on Bermuda tracks. His skill set is more suited to accuracy courses, and I think he has a great shot to make the cut and put up some solid DK scoring this week. Gay’s long irons are a strength of his game, and his putter can be a weapon. The Georgia native’s game has been very solid since a down stretch in 2018. He has a lot of experience at this course and will look to bounce back from a MC in 2019 here.

7,100 Sam Burns

The season has not gone as expected for the PGA youngster. Burns has made less than 50% of his cuts, he is losing strokes on approach, and his putter no longer looks like his crutch. So why am I on the kid’s scent this week? Bermuda is his preferred surface, he struck the ball better at Riviera, and he looked really solid firing a final round 67 as the field was dropping strokes. For 7K I will take a flyer on Sammy B back in the Southeast for the 2020 Honda Classic.
