Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on March 1 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

6 p.m. ET: Toronto at Denver, Detroit at Sacramento
8 p.m. ET: LA Lakers vs. New Orleans
8:30 p.m. ET: Washington at Golden State

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Bradley Beal (at GS – $10,400 on DK; $9,900 on FD): Beal has the highest ceiling on the night given the team in front of him. He’s a high scoring threat and he can chip in with rebounds and plenty of assists. And it’s one of the best matchups on the night as well. Build around him with confidence.

Brandon Ingram (vs LAL – $7,900 on DK; $8,000 on FD): Ingram played very well against the Lakers last time out and now he gets them possibly banged up and on a back to back. His scoring makes him desirable and the Lakers clearly loaded up a bit on Zion in the last matchup.

Andrew Wiggins (vs WAS – $7,600 on DK; $7,300 on FD): Curry remains out which means Wiggins will continue to get bulk of the scoring opportunities. And this is a good team to score against because the Wizards don’t exactly play much defense. Take Wiggins with confidence in this one.

Derrick Rose (at SAC – $6,600 on DK; $6,000 on FD): Rose is back to playing his normal minutes and that’s a great sign coming into this matchup. He has a high ceiling because of his ability to create from the position and it’s a great matchup against a weak Kong’s team. Now that the minutes are there again he’s an easy take.
