New Orleans Saints

1. Trae Waynes
2. Adrian Phillips
3. Randall Cobb

With Eli Apple poised to hit the market, the Saints again figure to be buyers in the cornerback market. Waynes has made strides following a tough start to his career in Minnesota. The Vikings’ cap troubles should prevent them from keeping him, and a contender discount would probably be necessary for Waynes to land with the Saints. New Orleans will have only $12m in cap room to work with this offseason.

Vonn Bell is another secondary player the Saints may lose in free agency. He has thrived in the box for New Orleans and safety/linebacker hybrid Adrian Phillips should be able to fulfill the same role. He also brings special teams upside that head coach Sean Payton will value.

Payton is not one to stop seeking ways to add more firepower to his offense, and a stacked wide receiver draft will be of great interest to the Saints. However, Cobb revitalized his career in Dallas and stands as one of the more enticing free-agent receivers on the market. He can still create separation with his route-running and gain yardage after the catch and would instantly slot in as a veteran target Drew Brees can rely on.
