Tampa Bay Buccaneers

1. Teddy Bridgewater
2. Jack Conklin
3. Markus Golden

Philip Rivers is the name most consistently linked with the Buccaneers, with Jameis Winston seemingly on his way out in Tampa Bay. However, there are also reports of interest in Bridgewater, who at 27 could be the Bucs’ quarterback for the long term. He may even come at a cheaper price than Rivers.

Bridgewater does not have the arm of Rivers or Winston. Yet it is his composure and reliability – which was on show when he went 5-0 for the Saints in place of the injured Drew Brees – that will appeal to Bruce Arians after he watched Winston toss 30 interceptions in 2019.

Possessing nearly $85m in cap room, signing Bridgewater would not preclude the Buccaneers from making a splash. Right tackle Demar Dotson is set to hit the open market and Conklin, nine years his junior, would be a massive upgrade.

Arians’ familiarity with Golden from his spell as Arizona head coach makes the ex-Cardinal an obvious candidate to replace Jason Pierre-Paul. Arians would undoubtedly have confidence in defensive coordinator Todd Bowles’ ability to get the best of a pass rusher who excelled in his sole season with a woeful Giants team.
