Khalid Kareem. 128. player. 819. Scouting Report. EDGE. Notre Dame. Pick Analysis

Players seem to fall through the cracks and down the draft board every year, and in this mock draft that player is Khalid Kareem, who the Bills are ecstatic to see still on the board at pick 128.

Khalid is an incredible athlete who will take some time to adapt to the NFL game as a pure Edge player. His biggest concern is a lack of first step burst that teams look for in their rushers, which explains his fall to the fourth round.

But what the 6-foot-4, 262-pound Khalid lacks in burst, he more than makes up for with strength. He is a good rusher, who accumulated a team-leading 5.5 sacks in 2019. Yet he’s also a complete player – his strength lets him set the edge effectively in the run game, and he’s got a knack for knocking the ball loose, forcing three fumbles in 2019 as well.

He’s unlikely to start in Buffalo next year, but he doesn’t need to with Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison and Trent Murphy on the roster. The Bills can afford to give Kareem time to refine his techniques, while also utilizing his skills as needed throughout the season.

Buffalo gets a great player here and moves on to other needs as the draft wraps up.
