Pick Analysis. Defensive Tackle. Nebraska. Carlos Davis. 188. player. Scouting Report. 810

Davis does not blow anyone away on tape, but he’s a strong, squatty defensive tackle who is both quick and fast and could excel in a stunt game.

Davis, a Nebraska product, surprised at the combine by being one of the few 300 pounders to run a sub 5.0 40-yard dash (4.82). That number will make him enticing for a team somewhere in the late rounds, and the Browns make a lot of sense.

Davis has a chance to develop in to a starting-caliber defensive tackle, despite being a late-round pick.

Shaquille Quarterman. 245. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Miami (Fl). 834. Linebacker

Milling around the final round of the draft looking for players that can be good locker-room guys, special teams contributors and solid backups? A good set of traits to look for are guys who were four-year starters and team captains.

Quarterman fits both of those molds. He’s more likely to find most of his contributions on special teams, though, where his downhill running and big-hit ability can both stand out for a team’s kickoff and punt coverage units.
