1. RB Devin Singletary

The common theme throughout this evaluation shows what general manager Brandon Beane did last offseason to improve the club’s overall offensive performance.

There were definitive shortcomings in 2018 despite the fact that the Buffalo Bills finished ninth in the league in rushing yards per game. But that was mainly because then-rookie quarterback Josh Allen was on the run far more than expected and he wound up leading the team in rushing yards.

But this past year, those improvements upfront led to the club finishing eight in the NFL in rushing offense. This time around, it was a pair of running backs and not the quarterback who were atop the club’s statistical category.

Rookie Devin Singletary led the club with 775 yards on the ground on just 151 carries. He reached the end zone only twice but did add two touchdowns via his 27 receptions.

But keep in mind that the 2019 third-round pick saw most of those attempts in the second half of the season, totaling 103 carries and 466 yards in his final six regular-season outings. He also ran 13 times for 58 yards, plus caught six passes for 76 yards in the playoff loss to the Texans. Look for a much more substantial workload this season.
