5. F Jordan Bruner – Yale to Maryland

Another high impact Ivy Leaguer in the transfer portal is forward Jordan Bruner who was one of the stars for the Yale Bulldogs last season. Bruner nearly averaged a double-double for the Ivy League champs, contributing 10.9 points per game and 9.2 rebounds per game for Yale.

One thing that makes Bruner stand out in comparison to some of the other bigs in the transfer portal is his athleticism, which could be a tremendous asset to other programs. Scouts also like the fact that Bruner has excellent skill and feel, so he could easily be a plug-and-play guy for a Power 5 program.

The best fit for Bruner is Maryland, which could have an opening at the four with Jalen Smith likely to test the NBA Draft waters. Smith could bolt if he is a first-round pick, creating a hole in the lineup that Bruner could fill seamlessly.

The Terrapins have designs on another Big Ten title next season so adding a guy like Bruner could make an immediate impact. Bruner would also love the chance to go back to the NCAA Tournament after having his postseason dreams dashed by the coronavirus related cancellations.
