After news that the Jets reportedly did their homework on trading for Stefon Diggs before he was dealt to Buffalo is it possible that the team had grand plans for reuniting him with his brother, talented Alabama defensive back Trevon Diggs? It’s possible and the scenario I’m running with in the second round of this Jets mock draft.

With the focus on edge rushers, quarterbacks, and offensive tackles in the first round, there should be a number of talented cornerbacks on the board when the Jets pick in the second round. Diggs is a phenomenal athlete with great size who loves being physical and aggressive in man coverage. Some of that aggressiveness can haunt him, as his tape against LSU has made the biggest single-game dent in the draft stock of perhaps any player in the entire class.

Diggs reportedly met with the Jets at the Combine and figures to be high on their list of potential picks on Day 2. Adam Gase is pretty plugged into Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide program and having taken Quinnen Williams with their first selection last year, the team could return to Tuscaloosa and select his former teammate in round two.
