New York Jets 2020 mock draft: Full 7 rounds
By Conor Dorney
The Jets go back to the offensive line in round four and scoop up Fresno State’s Netane Muti.
To say that Muti is strong would be the understatement of the century after watching him put up 44(!) reps on the bench press at the 2020 NFL Combine. That upper body strength is readily apparent on film, as Muti makes a habit of moving defenders off the ball with relative ease.
As enticing as Muti is based on measurables and testing numbers, staying on the field has been a real problem. Muti suffered through both Achilles and Lisfranc injuries over the past few years, so medicals will be crucial in determining where he winds up being picked. The fourth round is about as rich as I’d go for a player with Muti’s injury history but there’s no doubt he could be an absolute steal if he stays healthy.
