4. Mark Ingram won’t lead the running backs in rushing

Jackson got all of the headlines in the Ravens’ run game last season, but Ingram deserves a ton of credit for grinding out 1,018 yards on 202 carries. He was an integral part of the team’s success in 2019.

The trouble with Ingram is that he’s going to play next season at 31 years of age. There are a lot of miles on his tires as a running back. He endured a ton of punishment in college at Alabama and during his time with the Saints.

This prediction is based on the idea that his age and mileage is going to catch up to him in a big way next season. Ingram will still be a key part of the offense, but he’s not going to show the same burst. That will cause his carries to be cut back significantly.

Instead, look for a different running back to lead the group in yards. Gus Edwards is the obvious choice to usurp Ingram but don’t count out the idea of Justice Hill blowing up in a big way. Hill has the wiggle to give Jackson another big play threat in the backfield.
