3. Calais Campbell will lead the team in sacks

Stealing Campbell away from the Jaguars was arguably the Ravens’ best move of the offseason. The gigantic defensive end is going to really solidify things up front for Baltimore this year.

He may have only managed 6.5 sacks in Jacksonville last year, but that total should jump up in a big way this season. Campbell should be in a position to get 10 or more sacks. That should be enough for him to edge out Matt Judon for the team lead.

It’s important to remember that Campbell’s value isn’t just about rushing the passer. He’s also one of the best run defenders at his position in the NFL. The Ravens brought him in because he can help their defensive front in all aspects of the game.

The focus will still be on rushing the passer due to just how many points the Ravens are going to score on offense. Opponents know they have to throw the ball to keep up with Baltimore’s high-octane attack. Campbell will get plenty of chances to pin his ears back and rush the passer. He will reward the franchise’s trust by leading the team in sacks.
