4. JJ Watt will notch 10 sacks

Injuries are starting to take their toll on Watt’s physical abilities, but he’s still the emotional and spiritual leader of his team. Perhaps more importantly, he’s still got enough gas left in his tank to play like a Pro Bowler if he stays healthy.

Expecting him to play all 16 games isn’t realistic. Instead, the Texans should do everything within their power to keep him healthy for 12 or so contests. That might mean giving him some rest in the middle of the season.

If Watt can play a minimum of 12 healthy games he’s got a real chance to crack the 10 sack threshold. He’s not quite as good as he was during the peak of his career, but he still possesses an amazing burst off the edge.

He also has an amazing motor that refuses to let him rest when he’s out there on the field. He gets a couple of sacks each season based purely on the will he plays with on every snap. Watt isn’t a guy you want to bet against. Look for him to get back to double-digit sacks in 2020.
