4. Jeffery Simmons will notch 10 sacks for Titans

The Titans could also look to strengthen their defensive line with their first round draft choice. Even if they do, Jeffery Simmons will still be relied upon to take a big step forward in his second season as a pro.

Tennessee was patient with Simmons last year. They knew he was going to miss a big chunk of the season due to an ACL injury when they drafted him. Simmons came back and got a good bit of experience in nine games down the stretch.

He only got two sacks in last year’s action, but this season he’ll have a lot more responsibility thrust onto his plate. The departure of Jurrell Casey means Simmons has to become one of the team’s prime pass rushers. Harold Landry can’t be the only guy harassing the quarterback on a regular basis.

Simmons has the talent to bust out in a big way. He’ll see time rushing the passer as a defensive end and tackle this season. No matter where he lines up, he’ll be a handful for the offensive lineman tasked with blocking him. Simmons will get off to a hot start in terms of sacks and end up with 10 or more when all is said and done.
