4. Malcolm Brogdon — Indiana Pacers

Like Brown, Malcolm Brogdon suffered a muscle injury just prior to the NBA shutting down; however, his injury was of his left quadriceps. Brogdon was reported to be “week-to-week” following his partial quadriceps strain, though surgery was, luckily, able to be avoided.

The main concerns about Brogdon’s injury aren’t too dissimilar from that of Brown, mainly that a quick return to play after the league resumes may predispose him to re-injury. However, as was said in regard to Brown, proper treatment and management should limit that risk.

Brogdon, unfortunately, has a history of left quadriceps strains, as he suffered the same injury in February of 2018 while a member of the Milwaukee Bucks; that injury caused the guard to miss a number of weeks.

Brogdon was having a good, though not great, season prior to his injury. However, having a healthy Brogdon in addition to a healthy Victor Oladipo in the rotation would be huge for the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs. They are currently the 5-seed in the Eastern Conference and would be matched up against the Miami Heat if the playoffs started today.
