3. Brandon Clarke — Memphis Grizzlies

Another lower extremity muscular injury.

Brandon Clarke was a godsend for the upstart Memphis Grizzlies this season. The young Grizzly was averaging 12.0 points and 5.8 rebounds in just under 22 minutes per game and was well on his way to being named to one of the NBA’s All-Rookie teams prior to the season being suspended.

The Grizzlies announced that Clarke would likely return this season after initially suffering a right quadriceps strain on Feb. 24; he had missed Memphis’ previous seven games. As is likely the case with Brown and Brogdon, Clarke’s injury is either fully recovered or close at this time. As long as teams are given time to get their athletes back into shape prior to beginning the playoffs, injury risk should be no larger than usual. The Grizzlies are currently the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference and would go against the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.
