2. Jerry Jeudy will lead the team in catches

If a tight end leads the Raiders in catches again in 2020 then something has gone horribly wrong for the team’s offense. Darren Waller should be a big factor again this season, but the team has to find a No. 1 wide receiver.

The only avenue left for them to fill that need is the draft. Fortunately, the Raiders are armed with the No. 12 overall selection in a class teeming with talent at wide receiver. There’s a decent chance that Las Vegas will get to pick their favorite prospect in that position group without moving up a single spot.

If that happens, look for Jeudy to be Gruden’s guy. He’s a great fit for what the Raiders want in a wide receiver. His instant ability to run every route in the playbook will give his quarterback a new best friend to play with. It will also move Tyrell Williams back to the No. 2 wide receiver spot. That happens to be somewhere he can excel.

Not every rookie wideout is going to be ready to play meaningful snaps right away, but Jeudy is a plug and play starter. If he lands in Las Vegas he’ll lead the team in catches and yards. Gruden will be salivating at the very idea of landing him in the draft.
