3. Jordan Leggett, tight end

The Buccaneers are reportedly looking to trade tight end O.J. Howard, meaning there will be a new need behind presumed starter Cameron Brate. Jordan Leggett will be entering his fourth NFL season and he has yet to find sustained success following a few injuries.

In the 2017 preseason with the Jets, Leggett suffered a knee injury and was later placed on injured reserve. He was released in 2019 but the Bucs picked him up and had him on the active roster towards the middle and end of the season, although he didn’t appear in a game.

If the Buccaneers draft a tight end in the middle rounds of the upcoming NFL Draft, Leggett will likely have to battle to make a case that the team should carry three into the season. That isn’t unprecedented though, and he has shown he can be a successful player. Of course, his success came in college at Clemson on top-tier squads.

Leggett is on a futures contract and will have to really succeed over the summer, but with how little production he has had in the NFL any improvement would be considered a breakout. If he makes the roster and is able to get on the field, he would be a solid red-zone target for Brady will the other receivers are doubled up.
