Jacksonville Jaguars on the road

We talked about the Colts needing to win the games they’re supposed to win if they are going to compete this season. Well, they should absolutely win the two games against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts ended up losing their final game of the season against last year’s Jaguars, who had nothing to play for besides pride. Gardner Minshew led the team to 38 points and the victory at home.

This year, the Jaguars got much worse. They traded away multiple pieces including Nick Foles and Calais Campbell. They also could trade away Leonard Fournette and Yannick Ngakoue before the season starts. The Jaguars might be the least talented team in the league.

However, Gardner Minshew sometimes has magical powers, and he can win games on his own. At least, that was what rookie Gardner Minshew could do. The Colts cannot let that happen to them this season. They will also need to put in some road wins, and this is the perfect opportunity.

The Jaguars are down in the dumps, so that might make one think that this shouldn’t be a “must-win,” but that’s precisely why the Colts must win this game. We’ve seen lowly franchises beat the powerhouse before. The Browns beat the Ravens last year. The Dolphins beat the Patriots. The Colts cannot let themselves suffer the same fate.
