4. CB Fabian Moreau

There have been some changes to the secondary of the Washington Redskins, mostly at cornerback. Kendall Fuller returns to the team after spending two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and helping that team win a Super Bowl via an interception and two passes defensed against the 49ers. The club also signed talented unrestricted free agent Ronald Darby, who had problems staying healthy the last few years with the Philadelphia Eagles. At safety, Ron Rivera’s club added Sean Davis, formerly with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On the other hand, cornerbacks Josh Norman, CB Kayvon Webster and Coty Sensabaugh, as well as Montae Nicholson, were all cut loose this offseason, while corner Quinton Dunbar was traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a fifth-round pick this year.

Perhaps now is the time for cornerback Fabian Moreau to really come into his own. A 2017 third-round draft pick from UCLA, he’s made a combined 17 starts the past two seasons and in 28 total contests, has amassed four interceptions, 10 passes defensed and three forced fumbles. Three of those picks came in 2019, when he was limited to only 12 games. Washington is coming off a season in which it allowed 35 touchdown passes and Moreau will be counted on to up his game more than a few notches.
