Late round TE/DST

Dallas Goedert, PHI

The Eagles have had issues at the receiver position in recent years. They’ve dealt with lack of production, players not meshing and injuries. All of this gives Goedert an opportunity to become a valuable tight end. He caught 58 passes for 607 yards and five touchdowns last season.

Zach Ertz is still the top target but when the receiving core features Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson, having a productive backup tight end is crucial. Most fantasy leagues only use one tight end but when a team’s second tight end can be a top-15 option, he’s worth drafting late.

Tyler Eifert, JAX

Eifert gets a second chance to be a top tight end. He had one great season with the Bengals but injuries have limited him to just 30 games, eight starts, over the last four seasons. He joins a Jaguars team with Jay Gruden as the offensive coordinator, someone he’s familiar with.

The Jaguars receiving corps is young and has a lot of potential but they are not the most reliable. Eifert brings a veteran presence to a rebuilding team. If he can stay healthy, Eifert can be a solid TE2.

Tennessee D/ST

It’s not often I mention defenses in my fantasy football articles. For the most part, they are all the same and owners can switch them out on a weekly basis. However, there are a couple that stand out the rest and will be drafted a few rounds ahead of the bunch.

The Titans are the opposite. They are the 19th-ranked defense. However, looking at their division and schedule, it’s pretty favorable. They face the Texans (without Hopkins), Jaguars (a lot unknown) and Colts (new QB) twice each. The Titans also face the Browns, Bengals, Broncos, Vikings (no Stefon Diggs) and Steelers.

There are a couple of bad matchups you want to avoid but the majority favor the Titans. If you wait until the last round to draft your defense like I do, the Titans will be there 100 percent of the time.

These 10 players are not going to change a draft or excite the room but they will have an impact on your fantasy football team. We are still a few months away from the start of the football season (fingers crossed), so we will be pumping out articles here at FanSided Fantasy to help you prepare for your draft.
