A.J. Epenesa, NFL Draft
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – DECEMBER 27: Austin Jackson #73 of the USC Trojans blocks A.J. Epenesa #94 of the Iowa Hawkeyes during the second half of the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl at SDCCU Stadium on December 27, 2019, in San Diego, California. (Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty Images) /

8. Buffalo Bills

Draft Class

  • 2nd round-DE AJ Epenesa (Iowa)
  • 3rd round-RB Zack Moss (Utah)
  • 4th round-WR Gabriel Davis (UCF)
  • 5th round-QB Jake Fromm (Georgia)
  • 6th round-K Tyler Bass (Georgia Southern), WR Isaiah Hodgins (Oregon State)
  • 7th round-CB Dane Jackson (Pittsburgh)

This is another team that didn’t have a first-round pick, increasing the pressure on Brandon Beane to make the most of his assets. The Buffalo Bills did just that, filling their roster with talented players to help in their quest for their first AFC East title since 1995.

Beane had some good fortune in the second round when talented edge-rusher AJ Epenesa slipped to the Bills in the second round. Epenesa doesn’t have the tools to be an elite edge rusher but is productive due to his motor, which could help him rack up coverage sacks as a result of the Bills’ elite secondary.

Buffalo also found tremendous value in the third round with running back Zack Moss. The Utah product is a bigger back, making him the perfect complement to Devin Singletary in the Bills’ rushing attack.

The most intriguing pick here is Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm, who can be a developmental quarterback the Bills can flip for assets in the future. Add in the fact the Bills turned their first-round pick into Stefon Diggs and it looks like Buffalo is well-positioned to win their division.
