. Arizona Cardinals. 24. team. 32. .

2020 Key Additions: The Cardinals were involved in one of the biggest trades of this off season when they acquired three-time wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans. The club also went out and got some help on the other side of the ball in defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and linebackers Devon Kennard and De’Vondre Campbell. And with the eight overall pick in the draft, general manager Steve Keim added athletic Isaiah Simmons (Clemson). The versatile performer should help a unit that allowed the second-most passing yards in the league and 38 TD tosses, 16 of those to opposing tight ends.

Offseason Review: Last offseason, general manager Steve Keim took a chance on former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury. And while the Cardinals finished last in the NFC West for the second straight year, he and 2019 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year did manage to revive the worst offense in the league in ’18. Now the team looks to build on last season’s bit of progress. Acquiring Hopkins was stunning but he could elevate the Arizona passing attack in a major way. And the versatile Simmons could be a big plus for a defensive unit that allowed the most total yards in the league in ‘19. Things are looking up in the desert.

30. . . . New York Jets. 23. team

2020 Key Additions: General manager Joe Douglas put a high priority on addressing the team’s offensive line and did it in droves. The club added tackle George Fant, guards Josh Andrews and Greg Van Roten and center Connor McGovern in free agency and used the 11th overall pick in Thursday’s draft on dominating tackle Mekhi Becton from the University of Louisville. The club also brought in wide receiver Breshad Perriman (Buccaneers), who comes off the best season of his somewhat-disappointing career, and used a second-round pick on Baylor University wideout Denzel Mims to further aid quarterback Sam Darnold.

Offseason Review: Head coach Adam Gase’s first season at the helm of the Green and White saw the team utilize three different quarterbacks in the first two games. And it took quarterback Sam Donald a few games to shake off the rust. But this club played better football the second half of the season and a 6-3 record in their final nine games means the Jets bring some momentum into 2020. Douglas did a solid job bringing in new pieces for the offensive to rebuild arguably the weakest area of the club. And the addition of Perriman could very well offset the departure of wideout Robby Anderson, who signed with Carolina.
