56. . Edge. Cincinnati Bengals. Gregory Rousseau. 3. player

The Cincinnati Bengals got the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, bringing in LSU star quarterback Joe Burrow, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. With Burrow under center, the Bengals now have their franchise guy for the foreseeable future, and they got him a dynamic weapon to open the second round in Clemson’s Tee Higgins.

In 2021, the Bengals shift their focus to the defensive side of the ball with their first round pick, bringing in the premier edge rusher of the class in Gregory Rousseau from Miami. The Bengals are building up this roster for the long haul, and in Rousseau, they get that monster off the edges that they are currently lacking.

Quarterback. Detroit Lions. Justin Fields. 4. player. 50.

The Detroit Lions passed on a quarterback with the No. 3 overall pick in 2020, instead deciding to go with the premier cornerback in the draft class in Jeffrey Okudah from Ohio State. In 2021, they start to think about life after Matthew Stafford, drafting Okudah’s former teammate with the Buckeyes, quarterback Justin Fields.

This is a kid that just does not make mistakes with the football in his hands, and with the Lions, he could learn behind Stafford for a year before taking over. The Lions made some questionable selections in 2020, but they should not overthink the pick here, as Fields has the talent with his arm, and his legs to be a star in this league for a very long time.
