This Wednesday, the Outlaw Tour presents the Draftkings community with the second round of the GCU Championship!

Before I dive into my player selections for the Draftkings second round showdown contest I wanted to clearly indicate that I am not providing a specific lineup. However, I am providing multiple golfer options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings second round showdown contest!

*This article is focused on the second round Draftkings showdown contest. If you are not familiar with the rules for the showdown contest I highly recommend that you check out the Draftkings website for more details.

Let’s shift our focus to what I love doing the most! Here are my Draftkings player selections for the second round of the GCU Championship!

Mark Anguiano $10,300

The 2019 winner of this tournament began his opening round on Tuesday with two birdies and an unfortunate bogey on the par three eighth hole. However, Anguiano bounced back on the back nine. The 27 year old American compiled an impressive five birdies in the final nine holes to post a cumulative first round score of six under par. I watched a short interview with Anguiano after his round. He mentioned how much he loved the golf course and made reference to his win on this track in 2019.

It should also be noted that Anguiano has played well on the Korn Ferry Tour in the past. To be more specific, Anguiano has eight career top 30 finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour, including a career high 14th place result at the 2017 BMW Charity Pro-Am.

J.J. Spaun $9,900

Yes, I know that Spaun posted a rather average score of one under par in the opening round of the 2020 GCU Championship. However, I am willing to give Spaun a pass. After all, let us not forget that Spaun has not played any competitive golf in over two months.

Additionally, we should keep in mind that Spaun is the clear class of this week’s field with regard to overall talent. Spaun has a win on the Korn Ferry Tour (2016 News Sentinel Open) and finished second at the PGA Tour’s RSM Classic in 2017.

Nicolo Galletti $9,300

Last week, Galletti posted rounds of 64 and 66 en route to a win at the 2020 Legacy Shootout. He continued his outstanding play in round one of the GCU Championship, posting a score of 65. It should be noted that his first round included one eagle, four birdies, and no bogeys.

Daniel Hudson $6,900

Hudson has compiled some quality tournament results over the last six months. He finished sixth at the Moon Valley Championship in December, ninth at the Verrado Founders Championship in March, and he finished 13th at the Orange Tree Classic earlier this month. Hudson posted a score of 67 in today’s opening round of the 2020 GCU Championship.

Additional golfers I like in the second round showdown not mentioned above: Daniel Miernicki $7,500: Ollie Roberts $6,800: Hans Reimers $6,700.
