TAMPA, FLORIDA – NOVEMBER 10: Christian Kirk #13 of the Arizona Cardinals looks to make a reception thrown by Kyler Murray #1 during the second quarter of a football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on November 10, 2019 in Tampa, Florida. 4. Christian Kirk will go over 1,000 yards receiving

Some might presume the addition of Hopkins is going to cut into Kirk’s production. The opposite will actually be true. All of the attention Hopkins will draw from opposing secondaries is going to give Kirk a ton of opportunities to work against single coverage.

He’s got the athleticism and skill set to punish cornerbacks who try to cover him one-on-one. Kirk is a rarity in the fact that he can beat defenses over the top and hurt them with precise routes in front of the secondary. That makes him a great weapon for Murray to utilize all over the field.

Last season Kirk produced 709 yards on 68 receptions. Both totals are set to increase this season. A final stat line of something like 85 catches for 1,100 yards seems like a good bet for the former Texas A&M standout.

The combination of Kirk and Hopkins is going to torment secondaries in 2020. Both guys are going to have big seasons. Don’t overlook just how much Hopkins can free things up for Kirk. The relationship is going to be good for both guys.
