3. Winning record at home

As stated before, the big key for the Bills’ success this season en route to getting back to the playoffs is to formulate a dominant home-field advantage. While quarterback Josh Allen needs to take another leap forward to ensure that, the Bills have the other parts in place to give them a fight chance in this endeavor.

On paper, Buffalo should beat all three of its division rivals at New Era Field, even the antagonistic New England Patriots. In their NFC West home games, the date vs. the Los Angeles Rams feels like a win and the Bills have to feel good about their chances of beating the Seattle Seahawks, too. With those five theoretical wins, that gives the Bills a winning home record already.

As for the other three home games, how will the Bills fare against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers? None of these three games will be easy. While the Bills don’t have the firepower to beat the Chiefs at home, they can knock off former Bills offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn‘s Chargers team, as well as win an ugly one vs. the Steelers.

Buffalo can expect a charged up Chargers team when Lynn and the boys come to town. With Tyrod Taylor possibly starting in the game, this cannot be a game the Bills can overlook at all. As for the Steelers, they look to be a mirror image of the Bills, as they’ll win games with ground-and-pound, defense and inconsistency at quarterback play. 6-2 feels good, but so does 7-1.
