The Eagles could use some help at cornerback, and there are a plethora of options on the free agency market. Two former New York Giants in Prince Amukamara and Eli Apple have to intrigue them, but the most consistent option would be Logan Ryan.

The Eagles already made a ton of moves to make the cornerback position a priority this offseason, but one more would make it absolute. They traded for Darius Slay and signed Nickell Robey-Coleman and Will Parks, but only Slay is a lockdown guy who gives the Eagles an advantage. Ryan would immediately change one of the Eagles weaknesses into a strength playing alongside Slay.

Logan Ryan attended Rutgers University, so he’s used to an area that’s not far from the City of Brotherly Love. Obviously, that would more traditionally tie him to the Giants and Jets, but Ryan likely would rather go to a place that’s closer to competing for a championship.

The Eagles will still have a little bit of cap space after signing their rookies, and they can use it on Ryan and even some other free agents. With the market now close to dried up, and a global pandemic putting things in flux, Ryan might be willing to take less to play for the Eagles. He might see himself at that final piece.
