The Baltimore Ravens had the best record in the NFL last season. However, they were ousted early in the playoffs. Can the team replicate that success in 2020?

In the 2018 NFL Draft, Ozzie Newsome decided to trade back into the latter stages of the first round to draft a quarterback out of Louisville named Lamar Jackson.

That year, Jackson took the starting role from a franchise icon in Joe Flacco. John Harbaugh decided it was time to go to the rookie, and he was right.

Jackson helped the Ravens finish 10-6 and win the AFC North division that season. Although, the team ultimately lost in the Wild Card round to the Los Angeles Chargers.

In his first year, Jackson wasn’t the main reason the Ravens were winning games. However, in 2020, that changed.

Jackson was incredible in 2019. He led one of the league’s most potent offenses to the number-one seed in the NFL with a 14-2 record. He also netted himself the MVP award.

The Ravens were an all-round football team last campaign. They could score at will, and defensively had the players to make plays and force turnovers when needed.

Like Jackson’s rookie year, the Ravens lasted one playoff game in 2019. Losing in the Divisional Round to the Tennessee Titans.

Looking to pick off where they left off, team management focused on addressing the defense this offseason. Depth has been added on that side of the ball.

How will the Ravens respond this season? Can the team and Jackson do what they did last year?

Here is the 2020 schedule for the Ravens. Other than the AFC North divisional games, it features battles with the NFC East, AFC South, AFC East and AFC West.

Some of the key games to focus on are the divisional games against the Steelers and Browns. Also, the matchups with the Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys.
