Weeks 13-16

16. Prediction. 20. 55. 27

As part of the Bills’ second-place schedule in the AFC, they will face other playoff-caliber teams for the sake of competitive balance. Though the Pittsburgh Steelers should be a playoff team too next year, having this one at home only serves the Bills here. It’s a win Buffalo has to have for tie-breaking procedures if the Bills somehow don’t win the division. They get it done. Bills, 27-20.

24. 16. 28. 45. Prediction

The Bills aren’t going a perfect 4-0 in AFC West play this year. While they’d have to feel good about defeating the Los Angeles Chargers at home, the road date vs. the Denver Broncos will be tough sledding. It’ll be a defensive struggle, but the team who thrives in altitude will ultimately prevail. Drew Lock will make a few more plays than Josh Allen at Mile High. Broncos, 28-24.

23. 16. 30. 47. Prediction

Rome wasn’t built in a day and the Bills don’t have pieces to complete a season-sweep over the New England Patriots. It doesn’t matter that Tom Brady doesn’t play for the Evil Empire anymore, the Patriots will protect their Foxborough fortress when Bills Mafia comes to town. Sean McDermott is a good head coach, but Bill Belichick is still a way better one. Patriots, 30-23.

Prediction. 14. 59. 16. 16

The Bills will be challenged in this game, but it’s one they’ll need to have if they want to win the AFC East. The Miami Dolphins should be a few games better than their overachieving mark of 5-11 from a year ago. Though they’re not ready to win the division, they have an outside shot at being a playoff team. Miami just won’t win at New Era Field this year. It’s close. Bills, 16-14.
