Weeks 12-17

Final. 21. 15. 14. 45

Playing in Denver will be tougher than expected for the Saints’ offense, so the New Orleans defense has to carry the day here. Drew Lock struggles against New Orleans’ elite defense as the Broncos fall 21-14.

21. 15. 17. 44. Final

The Saints always play close games with the Falcons, and this one is no exception. Drew Brees leads a late touchdown drive to pull New Orleans past Atlanta 21-17.

17. 54. Final. 31. 15

Everyone always picks the Eagles to be a playoff team, which never seems like a bad bet until it is. The team just doesn’t know what it’s doing, though, and this late in the season going up against a team like the Saints — one that should be battling for a top seed in the NFC — seems like a battle too difficult to win.

15. Final. 35. 124. 38

This game should be one of the highlights of the season as the first (and potentially only) meeting between Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes lives up to the hype. The Saints escape on a late field goal to topple the defending champs.

15. Final. 14. 60. 35

The Vikings eliminated the Saints from the playoffs last year and are significantly weaker than they were in that game. That is a recipe for disaster as New Orleans pummels Minnesota to get some revenge for their postseason defeat.

15. 14. 87. Final. 24

The Panthers put up a spunky effort at home, but it isn’t enough to slow down the New Orleans’ offensive attack. Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas star in the 10-point win for the Saints.
