New York Giants 2020 schedule predictions: Picking every game
Weeks 5-8
The Giants have not beaten the Cowboys since 2016. Since, Dallas has won every regular-season matchup, which comes out to six in a row. After this season, it will be eight consecutive wins. Under offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, we saw how dynamic the Cowboy offense can be. Now with additions like CeeDee Lamb, and no head coach drama swirling overhead, Moore can coordinate one of the best offenses in the NFL. Another loss to the Cowboys for the Giants.
Jay Gruden did not prepare Dwayne Haskins enough last season. Interim Bill Callahan gave him a better chance, but now expect Ron Rivera to help develop Haskins immensely. Last year, Haskins and Jones both played well in a late December game at FedExField. Haskins had two scores, and Jones tallied five. The Giants are a few steps ahead of the Redskins right now. Offensively, they have just enough talent to score steady points. Jones will get the better of Haskins again.
Unlike the games against the Cowboys, the Giants played the Eagles close once last year in Week 14 on the road. Yes, the Eagles were not fully healthy at that point and Eli Manning was playing quarterback for the Giants. Regardless, Jones has shown he can go off for big games before. Twice last year he had tossed four scores in a game, and once he tallied five. This will be a signature win for Jones and the Giants. Cultural changes occur when big games are won, and this will be one of those games for Judge’s Giants.
Daniel Jones got his first career win in his first NFL start down in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers last year. He had four total touchdowns in that one. Now, a much different Bucs team will travel up the coast to play at MetLife Stadium in 2020. Who doesn’t love the Tom Brady vs. Giants rivalry? The only team to consistently beat Brady in the biggest game has been the Giants, and now we get the second Jones vs. Brady matchup. Brady has a lot of weapons on offense, and he brought his old tight end Rob Gronkowski out of retirement to join him in Tampa. This Tampa offense will be hard for any coordinator to stop. 30-plus points a game may become a theme for the Buccaneers.
